Join us at the Birmingham Sustainability & Mechanochemistry Symposium (BSMS), from 20-22 May, to hear from leaders in the chemistry of Sustainability and the role Mechanochemistry is playing in achieving a greener world. The BSMS will bring together leading speakers from UK and abroad, alongside early-career, post-doctoral and PhD researchers to present their results and showcase how advanced, alternative technologies, such as mechanochemistry, create a greener, more sustainable challenges of chemistry, materials science and chemical manufacturing.
Birmingham RAM Workshop (Weds 22 May) With the support of Resodyn, Inc. BSMS is thrilled to present the first workshop on Resonant Acoustic Mixing (RAM) – a rapidly emerging technology for energy- and materials-efficient mixing, that is now making in-roads towards scalable mechanochemical synthesis and manufacturing. The Birmingham RAM Workshop on 22 May will showcase the work of researchers from academia and industry in UK and US, and provide a technical overview of the technology and its most recent advances in chemical manufacturing and processing.
BSMS and the Birmingham RAM Workshop will be based at the University of Birmingham Edgbaston Campus, which is well on its way to becoming a Smart and Net Zero Campus by 2035, and already filled with thousands of trees, a botanic garden and schemes to protect wildlife such as hedgehogs on campus. We look forward to welcoming you to Birmingham, to participate, give talks and also sho your research on posters! - Tomislav Friščić, Adam Michalchuk, Deborah Crawford, and Thomas Auvray
